Important stuff from this week

Palera1n-c v2.0.0 beta 7 released

The palera1n team updated the palera1n-c jailbreak tool on Tuesday to version 2.0.0 beta 7 with another round of bug fixes and improvements to benefit end users.

The latest update can be downloaded and ran right over the top of your existing palera1n jailbreak installation, and the team has strongly recommended switching from rootful to rootless while you’re at it.

Cephei Tweak Support for rootless jailbreaks

Cephei Tweak Support, an important framework for jailbreak tweak support, has been officially updated to version 2.0 with support for rootless jailbreaks such as Dopamine and palera1n-c for iOS & iPadOS 15.0-16.x.

While some jailbreak tweaks are already rootless-compatible, we expect that Cephei Tweak Support’s update will accelerate more jailbreak tweaks getting rootless support, especially those that depended on this package on rootful jailbreaks previously.

Zebra updated to version 1.1.32

The Zebra package manager was updated this past week to version 1.1.32 with a whole host of bug fixes and improvements that will benefit end users.

How to remove TrollStore

If you’re a TrollStore user, and you’re wondering what you can do to remove TrollStore and all the apps you’ve perma-signed with it, then you can follow the steps we’ve outlined in our step-by-step tutorial to get it done.

Please note that TrollStore can be easily re-installed following un-installation by following one of the guides below:

Picarize

You can use the new Picarize jailbreak tweak to port iOS 16’s photo subject copy feature to jailbroken devices running iOS 14 and 15, as well as iOS 16 devices that are older than the iPhone XS.

While the feature isn’t quite as perfect as the stock option, it does a great job utilizing machine learning to achieve similar results without requiring you to update your iPhone and lose your jailbreak.

CloseAll

You can use a free jailbreak tweak called CloseAll to quickly and easily force quit out of every app in your App Switcher with the tap of a button.

In addition to that, CloseAll lets you lock specific apps so that you don’t accidentally force close out of those apps, such as Now Playing apps and the likes.

SearchDots

If you’re using iOS 16, then you probably already know about the upgraded Home Screen search feature that replaces the ordinary Home Screen page dots. But if you’re on iOS 15, then you can use a new and free jailbreak tweak called SearchDots to port this feature to your jailbroken device.

With it, you can search either Spotlight or the App Library right from your Home Screen. You can also change the vertical offset to whatever you desire to best fit your Home Screen layout.

LastLook adds rootless support

The popular LastLook always-on display jailbreak tweak with an enhanced Lock Screen experience has been updated to support the rootless dynamic of the Dopamine and palera1n jailbreaks on iOS 15 and 16.

LastLook is highly compatible with your favorite jailbreak tweaks and add-ons and provides both a battery-friendly mode for moments after phone use and a long-term ambient display that shows minimal information.

OCD

If you’re interested in adding a splash of color to your Home Screen’s 3D Touch/Haptic Touch menus, then you can use the new OCD jailbreak tweak to do exactly that.

This tweak lets you choose from different color options and apply them to those menus. It can remove the dingy gray feeling that they provide out of the box, making them more aesthetically pleasing to the end user.

AIM Pro adds rootless support

The AIM Pro jailbreak tweak, which brought powerful iOS 16-inspired Lock Screen customization features to jailbroken iOS 14 and 15 devices, was updated this past week to support rootless jailbreaks such as Dopamine and palera1n on iOS 15 and iOS 16.
