PyQt5 QCalendarWidget – Making Size perfectly fit

In this article we will see how we can make the QCalendarWidget size perfectly fit according to the appearance i.e size should not be greater or should not be smaller. Calendar is a big widget therefore sometimes by mistake designer make the size smaller and only some portion of calendar will be visible. It can be adjusted using changing size manually but it take time for hit and trial method also it will be not accurate.

In order to do this we will use adjustSize method with the QCalendarWidget object.
Syntax : calendar.adjustSize()
Argument : It takes no argument
Action Performed : It return None
Below is the implementation

Python3
| # importing librariesfromPyQt5.QtWidgets import*fromPyQt5 importQtCore, QtGuifromPyQt5.QtGui import*fromPyQt5.QtCore import*importsysclassWindow(QMainWindow):    def__init__(self):        super().__init__()        # setting title        self.setWindowTitle("Python ")        # setting geometry        self.setGeometry(100, 100, 600, 400)        # calling method        self.UiComponents()        # showing all the widgets        self.show()    # method for components    defUiComponents(self):        # creating a QCalendarWidget object        self.calendar =QCalendarWidget(self)        # setting geometry to the calendar        self.calendar.setGeometry(450, 50, 100, 100)        # creating another calendar        geek_calendar =QCalendarWidget(self)        # adjusting the size of geek calendar        geek_calendar.adjustSize()# create pyqt5 appApp =QApplication(sys.argv)# create the instance of our Windowwindow =Window()# start the appsys.exit(App.exec()) |
Output :
