Java ZipEntry getCompressedSize() function with examples

The getCompressedSize() function is a part of java.util.zip package. The function returns the Compressed Size of a specific ZipEntry or -1 if not known.
Function Signature :

public long getCompressedSize()

Syntax :

zip_entry.getCompressedSize();

Parameters :No parameter is required for this function.
Return value :The function returns a long value, the CompressedSize of this ZipEntry.
Exceptions :The function does not throw any exception.

Below programs illustrates the use of getCompressedSize() function

Example 1: We will create a file named zip_file and get the zip file entry using getEntry() function and then get the Compressed Size of the specified ZipEntry.”file.zip” is a zip file present in f: directory. we will take a “.zip” file as ZipEntry
