I skipped the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE at launch, but this Prime Day deal brought me back

The Galaxy S24 Fan Edition brings the Galaxy S24 experience at a more affordable price point. It packs everything you can ask for in a mid-ranger, including a 6.7-inch display, all-day battery life, and competent cameras. The phone launched always felt expensive at its original MSRP, but a $180 discount makes it a lot more tempting.
I balked at the initial price of the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE. $650 was too steep, especially with such competitive midrange devices available for around $500. Thankfully, Amazon Prime Day is here to offer a solution. From Tuesday, July 8th, to Friday, July 11th, you can score a Samsung Galaxy S24 FE for only $470 — a 28% discount from MSRP.
This Prime Day sale makes the Galaxy S24 FE a competitive option. As I noted in my review, my only real issue was the price, since the phone’s hardware is solid. If you’re a Samsung fan who can’t stomach buying a Google Pixel 9a, this Amazon Prime Day deal makes your decision a little easier.
Why you should buy a Samsung Galaxy S24 FE
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE has an exceptional display for a midrange phone. It features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 1080p panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s a vintage Samsung panel with the saturated colors and deep contrast we’ve come to know and love. I’m impressed by the screen every time I use the phone, and it’s a major reason why you should consider picking up a Galaxy S24 FE.
I was also pleasantly surprised by its Exynos 2400e chipset. I didn’t know what to expect, but the Exynos 2400e provides smooth performance with excellent power efficiency. Gaming is a fantastic experience, and the phone keeps cool thanks to a larger vapor chamber than its predecessor.
The Galaxy S24 FE also has a premium look and feel, thanks to its Gorilla Glass Victus+ front and back, as well as an aluminum frame. It features IP68 dust and water resistance, providing you with added peace of mind.
Battery life is outstanding, and I often make it well into a second day without needing to recharge. Samsung’s software support is also excellent, as the company promises seven years of One UI upgrades and security updates. I’m not a huge fan of Galaxy AI at the moment, but the Galaxy S24 FE is powerful enough to keep getting new AI features for years to come.
I didn’t love it for $650, but it’s a solid choice for Samsung fans looking to save a few dollars on Prime Day.
