In this post, we will dive into how to install Ansible AWX on Ubuntu / Debian Linux system with Nginx Reverse Proxy and optional Let’s Encrypt SSL Certificate. AWX is an open source project available under the Apache License 2.0. It provides a web-based user interface, REST API, and task engine built on top of Ansible. It is an upstream project from which the Red Hat Ansible Tower is build.

AWX enables users to better control their Ansible project use in IT environments by centrally managing Ansible playbooks, inventories, Secrets, and scheduled jobs from a web interface.
